Cosmetic Dentistry Boost Your Self Confidence

There are many reasons why we need to improve the appearance of our teeth. Some have stained dark, misaligned, crooked or chipped, missing teeth or gaps. Fortunately, these imperfections can be remedied by a cosmetic dentist. Dentistry has truly evolved over the years, more and more options are becoming available to correct and remedy dental problems. Most common of which is, misaligned teeth that usually starts in childhood. Clear PathTm works just like the traditional braces but these aligners are completely transparent. In addition, I Clear PathTm are marketed as being more comfortable than braces since they are removable. Stained or discolored tooth is usually caused by ingesting colored food (like vegetables rich with carotenoids or xanthonoids & turmeric used commonly in Indian food ) or liquids (like coffee, tea or red wine), smoking & Smokeless tobacco, medications (like tetracycline), Fluoride excess in water and as a person ages, our teeth become darker too. Teeth whitening or dental bleaching is one of the most common procedures in cosmetic dentistry. Nowadays, teeth whitening products can find easily over the counter. However, these products are usually not enough to do the job. It is always best to have a cosmetic dentist examine your tooth for a professional whitening advice. Dental Veneers is also another option to remedy discolored teeth, at the same time they can also close small gaps. Veneers are custom made thin laminates bonded directly to the teeth. There are various materials that can be used for this procedure, most common are porcelain, acrylic or resin. Veneers have also been recommended by dentists to strengthen worn teeth. For those who have gaps from a missing tooth whether from an accident or dental decay, several options are available to fill in the area like bridges which are crowns linked together to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are usually an alternative to fixed bridges or removable partial dentures. When a single tooth is missing and the adjacent teeth are sound the implant prevents the need for cutting down the adjacent teeth to place a fixed bridge. Dental implants are an excellent solution to missing individual teeth. Not only do they eliminate gaps, but they also provide a comfortable fit and look completely natural. The end result is a strong, secure tooth that is virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. Dental bonding is a procedure that can be done when someone has a chipped, broken or decayed tooth. It is also an option that people choose if they want to reshape their teeth. In this process a tooth colored resin is applied to a tooth’s surface, sculpted into shape, hardened with a special light. Once it is hardened, the dentist will refine and trim its shape, and polish it to provide it the same sheen as the rest of the tooth’s surface. It is safe and non-invasive, that is why Dental Bonding has been a popular procedure for restoring the shape of a tooth or even improving discolorations.
